Ganesh Temple

Chamatkar Temple 2 Km
One of the most well known pilgrimage site for Jains all love the world, the Chamatkar Temple in Sawai Madhopur is one of the most famous Jain Temples in the city. Devotees from all over are drawn to the Chamatkar Temple because of their staunch faith in the powers of worship that can fulfill all their desires & aspirations. The Chamatkar Temple has been named so because of a number of fascinating miracles that was linked to its foundation. According to the history of the Chamatkar Temple, this temple belonged to a simple farmer who had found God’s idol after he dug up a particular place in the field after being directed by God in his dreams. The idol was given over to the Jain Digambaras. The legend further goes to say that the same farmer was again told by God in his dreams to place the idol in a chariot and leave it to see where the horse refuses to move further. That place was chosen the site of the temple. Thus Chamatkar Temple came to be built in Sawai Madhopur. 

The Chamatkar Temple has a number of beautiful and appealing idols of the Jain Tirthankars, the 24 Gurus of Jains that are beautifully carved here. The place is beautifully constructed and has become a prominent pilgrimage site for the Jains.

Kaila Devi (Goddess) Temple
Is situated on the banks of the Kalisil river in Karauli district. The temple is dedicated to the tutelary deity, goddess Kaila, of the erstwhile princely rulers of the Karauli state.
It is a marble structure with a large courtyard of a checkered floor. In one place are a number of red flags planted by devotees.

The place is also famous for its fair held during the dark half of 'chaitra'(March-April) and lasts for a fortnight.
