After breakfast set out to explore this ancient city and hilltop fortress town that was once a major stop for silk and spice caravans. Your first stop is Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Qila (the Golden Fort). This classic desert fort, a World Heritage Site, is built of golden colored sandstone which looks tawny during the day, the color subtly changing to an almost honey gold at sunset. While at the fort, visit the Lakshmi Nath temple and the Jain temples, which were built between the 12th and 15th centuries and the renowned for its intricately carved & chiseled Haveli’s (Mansions), which illustrate superb craftsmanship built by wealthy merchants.

Tonight’s dinner will be out under the stars in the vast desert at a campsite set up at the base of a 15-metre-high dune. Lit by lamps, at the top of the dune’s ridge, almost at the edge of darkness, we will have the Manganiyar troupe singing their free-spirited Sufi music. At the camp’s base, the hotel’s chefs will be busy grilling chicken, mutton and paneer kebabs on a charcoal grill, and next to them is a bar from where you will be served drinks. Today Sightseeing of Udaipur includes The City Palace – this is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, construction of which was started by Udai Singh. This white marble architectural marvel, standing majestically on a hill is surrounded by crenellated walls. This huge edifice 30.4 meters high and 244 meters long was added on to, by later rulers, but the additions are so well planned and integrated, Visit to Sahelion-ki-Bari or “Garden of the Maids of Honour” was laid out for a group of forty-eight young women attendants who accompanied a princess to Udaipur as part of dowry.
Visit the Jagdish temple vishnuite built by Maharana Jagat Singh I in 1651 the temple enshrines a black stone image of Lard Vishnu. There is a brass image of Garuda the Lord Bird carrier.
