DELHI | IMPERIAL CITY & SHAHJAHANABAD

After breakfast visit to Later visit to New Delhi - was designed and built by the British in the 1920's-it's a city of wide Boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. In 1911 King George V announced the transfer of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi. The King's architects, Lateens and Baker, set in motion the Design and construction of Delhi's eight cities - New Delhi.  Lateens designed an "Imperial City" having palatial-sized buildings set amid broad tree-lined avenues punctuated by Mughal style gardens, complete with fountains and shallow pools. It took 20 years to complete this immense undertaking only to have the British pack up and Relinquish the subcontinent in 1947. Visit two monuments from Delhi's past - Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar, Louts Temple, Drive pass through the Raisina Hill, past the imposing India Gate, President House and Parliament House.

SHAHJAHANABAD
Afternoon visit to Old Delhi was an ancient walled city. Experience the Grandeur of Shahjahanabad built on the Banks of River Yamuna with our expert tour guides. Visit the Magnificent Jama Masjid (India’s Largest Mosque), experience the beauty of the Digambar Jain Naya Mandir, also see Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace of the Mughal Empire. The fort is Shah Jehan's symbol of power and elegance, built behind red sandstone walls. Its main gate (Lahore Gate) faces Chandni Chowk Afternoon take Cycle Rickshaw Puller Ride. through the bustling and colorful market of the old city is filled with twisting lanes, small streets and crowded bazaars. ALWAR | THE CITY OF THE RAJPUTS

After breakfast drive to Alwar 175 kms/3.30 hrs. Upon arrival check in hotel. Later visit to Bala Quila (Alwar fort). This fort is a witness to many historical events. Babur, the founder of the Mughal dynasty, spent a few days here and when he left he took away the hidden treasurers for his son Humayun. Akbar’s son, Salim, later emperor Jahangir, lived here in exile for some time, City Place or Vinay Vilas Mahal it is more popularly known of the Vinay Vilas Mahal. The architecture of the palace is very traditional. Constructed in late 18th century it has traces of both Rajput and Mughal styles of architecture.   • One of the biggest attractions of this festival is the Shehnai-wadan (Flute recital) performed by many esteemed artists.
  • An Archaeological Exhibition called the Dharohar, is organized at the site of the festival.
  • The Matsya Festival with its Alwar Darshan, offers the opportunity to get a closer look at the lifestyles and customs of the locals.
  • The game of Rassa Kasi /Tug of War is played by women wearing traditional attires.
  • The festival offers the chance to experience many water sports at the famous Siliserh Lake.

PATAN | RURAL VILLAGE

After breakfast drive to Patan Village 95 kms/1.30 hrs. Upon arrival check in hotel Patan Mahal. Built around 1790 shortly after the battle of Badal-Mahal, the Patan Mahal Palace has been lovingly turned into a heritage hotel, Afternoon we enjoy a guided walking tour of Patan town. We then continue to Badal       Mahal, an 800-year old palace, where we can admire the stunning views of the town and the surrounding mountains. Early morning take Horse cart (Tonga Ride) visits the UNESCO heritage site Taj Mahal – The New 7 wonder of the world and Monument of Love in the and watch its surface subtly shift in Color, as the setting sun bathes it in a soft orange glow. In the warm glow of Sunrise, which was built in 1630 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1631, and is believed to have taken 18 years to complete, with over 20,000 craftsmen working around the clock.

      

After breakfast Departure for Mathura/Vrindavan visit to The Banke Bihari Temple, Eskon Temple and Mathura originally a Buddhist center, this is the sixteenth century, as scholars have determined that the God Krishna was born in this city. Here we take boat ride on the Yamuna River and see the scared Ghats (river terraces) especially visit the "Vishram Ghats", these giant staircases along the holy river: the Yamuna, where you can see many pilgrims make their offerings and praying bidder’s flowers and candles to the god Krishna.
