Day By Day Itinerary

Day 01   Arrive Delhi
Arrive Indira Gandhi International Airport, meet & greet with Traditional Indian welcome. Transfer to hotel. Delhi stands as the capital of Modern India. Here you can see the mingling of the Old and New India, the ancient and the modern.  Delhi is made up of seven ancient cities, spanning the period from the 11th to 20th centuries. Delhi has seen the rise and fall of many emperors, which have left behind a plethora of monuments that commemorate the grandeur and glory of bygone ages. Very few cities in the world can express such a profusion of architectural styles. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 02   In Delhi

Afternoon visit to New Delhi was designed and built by the British in the 1920's-it's a city of wide boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. In 1911 King George V announced the transfer of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi. The King's architects, Lutyens and Baker, set in motion the Design and construction of Delhi's eight cities - New Delhi.  Lutyens designed an "Imperial City" having palatial-sized buildings set amid broad tree-lined avenues punctuated by Mughal style gardens, complete with fountains and shallow pools. It took 20 years to complete this immense undertaking only to have the British pack up and relinquish the subcontinent in 1947. You will visit two monuments from Delhi's past - Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, past the imposing India Gate and Parliament House. Also visit Sikh Gurudwara Bangla Sahib to see the worship etc. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 03 Delhi – Agra 200 km/3.30 hrs
After breakfast drive to Agra - At the time of the Mughal, in the 16th & 17th centuries, Agra was the capital of the grand Mughal Empire. During this period the city became a leading center of art, science, commerce and culture. Akbar the Great made Agra great.  The city's origins are dim but Akbar’s grandfather Babar is credited with Agra's founding.  The short golden age of Agra came to an end with the seventeenth century reign of Shah Jehan, mastermind of the unforgettable Taj Mahal upon arrival Check in hotel Later visit to Agra Fort built by Akbar the Great and the city. Also visit the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah built by Empress Noor Jehan in the memory of Her Father

Evening take Horse cart (Tonga Ride) both way enjoy the Magnificent Taj Mahal – The New 7 wonder of the world and Monument of Love in the warm glow of Sunset, which was built in 1630 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1631, and is believed to have taken 18 years to complete, with over 20,000 craftsmen working around the clock. The design and construction is said to be that of the legendary architect, Ustad Ahamad Lahori.  Legend has it that once construction was completed, what makes the Taj Mahal unique is its perfect proportions, distinct femininity, medium of construction and ornamentation.  Its marble exterior reflects rose and golden tints at sunrise and sunset, while it is dazzling white during the day. It is impossible to visualize the Taj Mahal in any surrounding others than its paradoxical garden. Paradise, in Islam, is visualized as a lush garden where running streams flow. When the Mughal brought this concept to India they elevated it to heights of Incomparable artistry. As you drive through the city witness the local life, Shopping and bazaars (markets) and the hustle bustle of everyday India. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 04   Agra – Abhaneri Jaipur 232 km/6 hrs
After breakfast drive to Jaipur, once the capital of Rajasthan province, "the abode of rajahs" Everywhere you will see the monuments of its Rajput rulers. It has the distinction of being a well-planned and laid out city. As you drive through the old part of town, you will witness a life most unlike others. Witness how the city blooms during the day in a kaleidoscope of color and sound. Jaipur is one of the main centers for shopping in India -- especially with regard to textiles, Jewellery, stones carpets, etc. Upon arrival check in hotel.
Later visit to Sanganer village situated of outskirt of Jaipur Look at the teeming Jain temple from the 17th century and visit the traditional wood block printing, tie and dye fabric, paper factory and blue pottery that make the reputation of the craftsmanship of the city rose. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05     In Jaipur
After breakfast visit the 17th century fortress of Amber Fort - marvelous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. Go up the fort ascended on Caparisoned Elephant true to the style of the Maharajas of the past. The interiors of the fort have various royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirror and glasswork complemented by exquisite wall paintings. As you move between the rooms of this magnificent structure feel the history and visualize the pomp and grandeur of a kingdom never conquered, whose hilltop location is to view various palaces with rooms of stunning beauty including the world’s finest chamber of mirrors and also visit   temple of Kali.

Afternoon visit to Maharaja’s City Palace, where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art, The museum is resplendent with its collection of robes of royal princes, carpets, an armory of old weapons, miniature paintings portraying court scenes, battle scenes and processions, Jantar Mantar (an accurate observatory built in 1726 A.D.), Birla White Marble temple and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires. Day 06    Jaipur – Cochin Fly
After breakfast at hotel. Later visit to Sanganer village situated of outskirt of Jaipur Look at the teeming Jain temple from the 17th century and visit the traditional wood block printing, tie and dye fabric, paper factory and blue pottery that make the reputation of the craftsmanship of the city rose. You will be transfer to Sanganer airport to take the flight around 18.00 hrs for Cochin. Arrive Cochin at 20.50 hrs. Upon arrival meet and greet transfer to hotel overnight stay

Day 07 In Cochin
Cochin – Capital oasis state of Kerala & on to the Malabar Coats & Kochi, one of the India’s most colorful cities, the Dutch palace built by the Portuguese in 1557 and renovated by the Dutch from 1663 with its beautiful murals and Jew town including the antique warehouses and shops, spices trading house and the Jewish synagogue built in 1568, the oldest in the commonwealth. This inter, connected series of Islands & shoreline presents a vivacious blend of Cultures & Religions; Kochi is the only place in the country where you can see Portuguese Churches, a Jewish Synagogue, Hindu Temples, Dutch Architecture & Mosque nearly side by side.
This evening A memorable experience in any journey in Kerala is a Boat Trip along the Palm Fringed Lakes & Backwaters of the Area; we enjoy this extraordinary excursion today. As we sail along the shady canals we see cantilevered Chinese fishing nets. From our launch, we enjoy use of narrow produced – Laden dugouts & the everyday life of families living on narrow spits of land between the waters. Later we attend the performance of the Kathakali, one of India’s most famous Classical dances. Lavish Costumes & Exotic makeup & Masks intensify the beauty of the dancers, intricate moments. Overnight stay.

Day 08   Kochi – Munnar 130 kms / 2.30 hrs
After breakfast drive to Munnar. Upon arrival check in hotel. Munnar – is situated at the confluence of three mountains strams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni & Kundala. Munar is a famous tea plantaion, picture book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular hill station. Later visit to Mattupetty – 13 kms away from Munar, situated at a hight of 1700m. It is famous for its highly specialized Dairy Farm – the indo swiss livestock project. Over a hundread varities of high yielding cattles are reared here. Visitor are allowed to 3 of the 11 cattle shades at the farm. The Mattupetty lake & dam just a short distance from the farm, is a very beautiful picnic spot. This sprawling Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala Lake are the other attraction in the vicinity. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 09    Munnar – Periyar (Thekkady) 100 kms/ 2.30 hrs
Drive to a Tranquil hill retreat of Periyar. Upon arrival check in hotel. Evening enjoy Safari Cruise with best trained guide in Periyar Game Sanctuary– the best way to see & enjoy the Wildlife Activities, Cruise in the Periyar Lake in the cool surroundings and the panorama spreads around tropical jungles, Wild elephants & birds of myriad varieties. With an area of 777 sq kms. in the hills of Western Ghats amongst the animals are wild elephants which can be seen and photographed at close quarters. Wild boar, Sambar, Tiger, Leopard, Wild Dog and langur monkey. Overnight stay.

Day 10   Periyar – Alleppey 164 kms/4 hrs
After breakfast transfer to Alleppey to meet your way own floating hotel in the famous backwaters. Kettuvalam (An Authentic Kerala Houseboat)- the moving master piece, have been plying the inland waterways of southwest India for untold centuries and originally used as cargo rice boats. The fully furnished and palm covered boats (single & double) bedrooms with attached bath, sit out, kitchen and living room made of traditional wood. In each houseboat, there are 3 men staff (crew), comprising a cook and two well trained punters throughout the cruise. Punters stand on each end of the boat for punting and directing the boat. Kerosene-lit lamps along will be available for light and mosquito nets will be provided. Traditional vegetarian and non-vegetarian Kerala cuisine are served. A journey through the backwaters of Kerala which offer one of the world’s truly unforgettable experience, myriad network of silent lagoons, freshwater river, hyacinth covered canals that wind their way through colorful corridors of forests, palms and fruit trees. A canoe expedition via an intricate network of canals, through backwater villages where daily continues unaltered, as it has for centuries. Overnight stay.

Day 11-12     Alleppey – Marari Beach 15 kms
Today drive to Marari Beach –is the most fabulous stretch of soft & sandy beach fringed with palm an idyllic retreat for those who want to "get away from it all". Marari originates from "Mararikulam", one of the local fishing villages, where life still goes on much as it did a hundred years ago, with the man going out to see each day to earn a living bringing in the daily catch.  Marari offers endless miles of superb sand and beaches backed by swaying palms, virgin territory where you can experience the local charm & traditional Keralan Hospitality at its best. Not that you need to spend the whole of your holiday in seclusion, you couldn't be in a better location for exploring the marvelous backwater, where the tranquility, the stunning scenery & the feeling of being transported back in time, make it a superb relaxing & inspiring experience. For a more update day, a visit to Cochin is must. Being one of the most important trade centers on the "Spice Coast" this is the place to do a spot of Shopping & who knows you could actually find a genius antique in one of the many shops in Jew Town.  Here your stay will be 3 nights. Overnight stay.

Day 13    Marari – Cochin 60 kms / 1 hr – Onward Destination
After breakfast drive to Cochin Say Goodbye to God’s own country newly become friends of this fascinating land and transfer to Airport to board the flight for onward destination.
