TEMPLE

Meera Bai’s Temple :

This Temple is associated with mystic poetess and a great devotee of Lord Krishna, Meerabai. She was the wife of Rana Bhojraj and is said to have consumed poison sent by the Rana but survived because of Lord Krishna’s blessing.

In front of the temple is the cenotaph (Chhatri) of Meera Bai’s Guru, Shri Rai Das of Benaras. Inside the cenotaph, there is a carved figure of five human bodies with one head, signifying that all castes are equal & even outcasts can attain God.

Kumbha Shyam Temple :

This temple is dedicated to Varah (Boar), the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It was built in 1448 AD by Rana Kumbha.

Kalika Mata Temple :

A temple of Mother goddess Kali is the symbol of power and velour. Originally it was built as a Sun Temples in the 8th century and was converted into Kalika Mata Temple in the 14th century AD.

Sanwariyaji Temple (40 Kms) :

Situated on Chittaur Udaipur road, it is a modern temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and is an important pilgrim spot.

Matriya Kundiya Temple (50 Kms) :

This religious place known as the Haridwar of Mewar is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
