Day By Day Luxury Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrive in Delhi          Taj Mahal

Arrive Delhi Indira Gandhi International airport. Meet & Greet at the airport by Recreation Travel’s representatives. Escorted transfer to The luxury Taj Mahal Hotel is located in the exclusive residential area of Lutyens’ Delhi, close to the seat of government. Reflecting the heritage of Mughal Delhi, this hotel offers graceful architecture with modern facilities.

The warm, pristine white lobby of The Taj includes design details reminiscent of Mughal architecture such as intricate motifs, golden inlay work, and niches from ‘Shahjahanabad’, the erstwhile mogul capital.

Day 02 - Old & New Delhi       Taj Mahal

After Breakfast Proceed to the Old Delhi tour was an ancient walled city. Here you will see Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace of the Mughal Empire. The fort is Shah Jehan's symbol of power and elegance, built behind red sandstone walls. Also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India;

New Delhi was designed and built by the British in the 1920's-it's a city of wide boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. Your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, past the imposing India Gate and Parliament House & President House. You will visit the monumentsHumayun's Tomb and Qutab Minar. Overnight stay

Day 03        Delhi – Varanasi           Taj Ganges

Today after breakfast transfer to Domestic airport to board the flight for Varanasi arrive Varanasi upon arrival check in hotel.

Varanasi: one of the oldest cities in the world. Also known as Banaras, this city has been the center of the Hindu faith for all of recorded history. Kashi, Banaras or Varanasi is the oldest living city in the History of Mankind. This City is acknowledged as the cultural Capital of the Oriental part of the Globe. This is treated as an embodied diving. India, the nation with diversified culture has one unity or common that is Varanasi where cultures from all the walks of this country congregated and accepted this city as their spiritual Destiny.

For more than two thousand years, people have been coming from different states of India to Varanasi with their cultural heritage & lineage. This amalgamation of Oriental cultures and life styles of west made this colossal city a panorama.

Evening watch aarti on the river Ganges. Ganga Aarti can watch at Dashawedh Ghat from 6:45 pm for One and Half hours.

Day 04           Varanasi – Delhi – Agra 200 kms /4-½ hrs      Taj View

On our today sightseeing enjoy the sunrise Boat excursion on the Holy River Ganges to see the bathing Ghats and crimination sites. Watching people bathing and worshiping at the Ghats is one of the most extraordinary experiences of a visit to India. More than the Ghats and even the Ganga, the Shivalinga installed in the temple remains the devotional focus of Varanasi. It is open only to Hindus.

After breakfast stroll along the bazaars near to hotel full of shops selling, among other things, the world famous Banaras silk. Pack your luggage before taking lunch.

Transfer to Airport to board the flight for Delhi. Upon arrival keep your luggage in Air conditioned vehicle straight drive to Agra – The Mughal City upon arrival check in at Taj View hotel. Situated within three kilometers of the Taj Mahal, the world-renowned monument to love, The Taj View Hotel can look forward to gracious interiors, personalized service and the Taj inimitable style for a memorable stay.

Day 04    In Agra            Taj View

Morning visit to Agra Fort built by the great Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. Also visit to Itmad-ud-Daulah built by Empress Noor Jehan in the memory of Her Father.

Enjoy the Magnificent Taj Mahal – the Monument of Love in the warm glow of Sunset, which was built in 1630 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1631, and is believed to have taken 18 years to complete, with over 20,000 craftsmen working around the clock. Its marble exterior reflects rose and golden tints at sunrise and sunset, while it is dazzling white during the day. It is impossible to visualize the Taj Mahal in any surrounding others than its paradoxical garden.

As you drive through the city you witness the local life and bazaars (markets) and the hustle bustle of everyday India. Agra is famous for Marble Items

Day 05 - Agra – Jaipur 232 kms / 5 hrs            Jai Mahal Palace

After breakfast proceeds to Jaipur the pink city. On the way you will visit Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital. Ponder the mysterious desertion of this capital city that was dramatically abandoned a few years after it was built. It was a veritable fairy tale city and its 'ruins' are still in a pristine condition..

Jai Mahal Palace has been home to generations of royals. Built in 1835 on a modest scale for the queen’s favorite handmaiden Kesar Badaran, it was later refurbished as a royal guesthouse and hunting lodge. In 1925, Jai Mahal was converted into a palace, and became the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. In the finest tradition of Rajput hospitality, the Jai Mahal Palace offers its guests a taste of royal living – a luxury and extravagance that was once the sole preserve of kings. It’s elegantly appointed rooms, marbled corridors and majestic gardens echo with history, and every corner has a story to tell. Guests relive the Rajputana era in refined and refurbished rooms, each offering a different experience in princely living.

Day 06 - Jaipur Maharajas City Tour              Jai Mahal Palace

After early breakfast, Journey back in time at deserted 17th century fortress of Amber Fort. 11 Kms. from Jaipur, Amber Fort is a marvelous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. Go up the fort on the back of a gaily-caparisoned elephant true to the style of the Maharajas of the past. The interiors of the fort have various royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirror and glasswork complemented by exquisite wall paintings.

Afternoon venture back into the city tour: Visit the City Palace Museum where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art. The museum is resplendent with its collection of robes of royal princes, carpets, an armory of old weapons, miniature paintings portraying court scenes, battle scenes and processions, Also visit the awe inspiring Jantar Mantar (an accurate observatory built in 1726 AD). Also included is a photo visit at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).

Day 07 - Jaipur - Jodhpur             Taj Hari Mahal

Morning fly for Jodhpur. Taj Hari Mahal spread over six acres of lush, landscaped gardens; this palace of the 21st century offers luxurious refinement. With its Marwar style architecture and Mughal-inspired domes, enameled murals, slender columns, and grand interiors, this is design that lives up to the fantasy. Located close to the city markets, nearby guests can find much to see and experience. Guests can step into a world where history mixes with rich Indian design to stir the senses with opulent colors, fabrics, and materials.

Jodhpur - the Great Indian Desert, sites on sand stone hill surrounded by a strong wall, approximately 6 miles long with 7 entry gates. The fortified city of Jodhpur was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodhaji – chief of Rathore clan of Rajputs. The imperial city set at the edge of the Thar Desert, is replete with amazing legends of romance and heroism. A major trade center of 16th Century, Jodhpur has grown to become the second largest city of the state. Arrived and check in hotel. Remainder time is free for own activities.

Day 08 - In Jodhpur         Taj Hari Mahal

This morning you will enjoy half day sightseeing of the city includes visit to Meherangarh Fort – stands a top a 125 metre high hill dominating the city’s skyline. It is one of the most impressive and formidable fort of the country, drive through the old city and past the Clock Tower near the largest spice bazaar in the sub-continent, visit the Jaswant Thada Cenotaph – the memorial of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, built in 1899 in white marble near the fort is noteworthy for its superb architecture, the royal cremation site and then proceed to see the most magnificent, modern 20th century Palace, the Umaid Bhavan Palace and its museum – a treasure trove. Overnight stay.

Day 09 - Jodhpur – Udaipur            Taj Lake Palace

Today after breakfast fly for Udaipur. The Taj Lake Palace, located in the middle of Lake Pichola is a dream of white marble and mosaic glistening in the moonlight, very reminiscent of the most beautiful tourist cliché in the world; the Taj Mahal. Conceived in romance, the palace was built in 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, 62nd successor to the royal dynasty of Mewar – believed to be descendants of the Sun God.

Today sightseeing of Udaipur includes The City Palace – this is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, construction of which was started by Udai Singh. This white marble architectural marvel, standing majestically on a hill is surrounded by crenellated walls. This huge edifice 30.4 meters high and 244 meters long was added on to, by later rulers, but the additions are so well planned and integrated, it is difficult to believe that it was not conceived as complete structure, drive around Fateh Sagar lake – this fine lake, lying to the north of and connected by a small canal with Lake Pichola, was originally built by Maharana Jai Singh, in 1678 AD, Sahelion-ki-Bari or  “ Garden of the Maids of Honour” was laid out for a group of forty-eight young women attendants who accompanied a princess to Udaipur as part of dowry, Partap Smarak: A memorial to the legendary warrior Rana Pratap, Bhartiya Lok Mandal Museum – a museum of folk arts, it displays a rich collection of folk musical instruments and paintings. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 10 – Udaipur       Taj Lake Palace

Today morning day return excursion to Ranakpur – one of the biggest and most important Jain temples, it is one of the five holy sites for the Jains. The main temple in the complex is “Chaumukha temple” or the four-faced temple dedicated to Adhinathji and built in the 15th century. It has 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, all of which are different from each other. The Surya Narayana temple and the other jain temples in the complex are also worth visiting. The magic of light & shade is really awe- inspiring. Arrive Udaipur and check in hotel. Afternoon is free to explore colorful Bazaar & Shopping.

Day 11 - Udaipur - Delhi

Say good by to this fascinating land. Today after breakfast transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi to connected flight for onward destination
