Hemis Festivals Ladakh Delhi-Srinagar-Leh-Delh 06 Nights / 07 Days Ladakh festival takes place in September 1-15 every year in Leh and villages. The inauguration ceremony takes place in Leh on large scale with the procession of various cultural troupes from different part of Ladakh. It passes through Leh Market dancing, singing with traditional music, in colorful traditional Ladakhi dresses, and finishes at Polo ground after performing their best dances and songs. The festival last for 15 days with regular program in different villages. The program includes Archery, Polo, and Mask Dances from the monasteries, traditional dances by cultural troupes from Villages. There are series of musical concert and dance program in Leh town. Highlights
Day 01 Delhi Arrive Delhi. Meeting & Greeting & Airport & transfer to hotel for overnight stay. After breakfast transfer to Airport to connect flight for Srinagar. On arrival transfer to hotel. Later visit world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (the garden of pleasure) and the Shalimar Bagh (abode of love). In the evening Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty of the city. Overnight at hotel. After breakfast full day visit to Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. It has the highest Golf Course in the world. Enjoy the splendour of nature and the snowy mountains. Enjoy Gondola ride (cable car - subject to availability) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. Day 04 Srinagar - Leh Early morning transfer to Airport to connect flight for Leh . On arrival transfer to hotel. Leh is the capital of the cold desert, Ladakh. Full day excursion to the Ladakh Fair. Overnight at hotel.
Please Note: the flight operates only on Tuesday. Morning visit the famous Monasteries, it is interesting to visit early morning to enjoy the praying ceremony at the Monasteries- Hemis Monastery, Thikshey Monastery and on return visit the Shey Palace. Afternoon sightseeing in the town. Visit the Shankar Gompa, the Leh Palaceand the Museum. Walk around the Leh town later. Evening is spent at the horse Polo grounds watching a thrilling game of horse Polo. Day is free for your own activities or can spend the day into fair. Watch the beauty of nature. Overnight at hotel. Day 07 Leh - Delhi - Onward Destination. Early morning transfer to Airport to connect flight for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi transfer to hotel. After breakfast sight-seeing tour to Delhi, which includes Jama Masjid - the largest mosque of Emperor Shahjahan, Red Fort, Raj Ghat- cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, to India Gate - a 42 meter stone arch built in the memory of the Indian Soldiers who died in World War II, Drive past the President's House & Parliament House, Humayun's Tomb, the Qutab Minar & Lotus Temple. Say good by to this fascinating land and transfer to International Airport to connect flight for Onward Destination.
