Wherever there is a safe body of water, there are boats to give the visitors rides on them. In Kota, a very old boat pertaining to the British days is still in very good condition and used to take people down the Chambal.

In Udaipur : Hailed for centuries as the 'city of lakes', Udaipur is built on the shores of Lake Pichola. In Gajner (Bikaner) : Gajner Palace is built along the shores of Gajner Lake. The lake shares a natural boundary with a wildlife sanctuary. Boating on Gajner Lake is a pleasure in the mornings and late afternoons, one can watch the animals come to the lakeshore and the birds taking off and nestling in the banks. Gajner Lake also offers solar boat charters; the solar boat in Gajner has been stationed there from Udaipur. It marks a major eco-initiative of the of Hotels to popularize solar boats among the guests and tourists in Rajasthan.
